You are correct, the PTT button on the large board keys the TX. It
will not allow any RX audio to pass, this is the normal.
The question is, is the recevier receving? Have you hooked a speaker
to the two pins on the upper right of the large board? Did you hear
anything there? The pot there is for the Spkr volume.
The 'PL Disable' switch does not disable the PL on the REPEAT, so if
you do not have the correct PL the TX will not come up, even with
the 'PL Disable' switch ON.
