To be safe I would also avoid 136.5. I have a couple of radios which false at 136.5 when receiving DCS.
179.9 doesn't seem to have the big problems it did in the mechanical reed days, but I agree I would still stay away from it. I wonder if 179.9 has more problems on low band than on higher frequencies?
