I never said I was putting up a digi.

I want to hear from people who have the Ultimeter 100 connected to both a
WXTrak and the CAT1000.

If you are putting up a digipeater.why would you interface it with a
repeater? They are totally separate services..

Are you trying to send the aprs audio over the repeater for some reason?
Avoiding another antenna?

Wouldn't you just want to have a separate radio, antenna, TNC and computer?

If you are putting up a tiny track.all you an do is beacon the position of
the repeater...why don't you just beacon out the coordinates of the repeater
site from a station running UIview 24/7 already - or dedicate a station for
this express purpose.

Major considerations would really be around filtering RF from the national
APRS freq of 144.39..and whatever your repeater freq is.

You might be able to use a repeater to control a relay to kill the APRS
power.but that is about the only thing I can think of.

Perhaps you mean to use the weather station to get repeater site weather
data..if that's the case put up a separate radio tnc etc and an antenna up
20' on the tower and let the local digipeaters take care of the coverage

FWIW

Anybody got a Tinytrak linked to your CAT-1000 (or similar) controller? We
just voted to put up an APRS station at the shack and it will ultimately be
interfaced to our repeater. I'd appreciate hearing from those who've got it
working. (The WX Station will be a Peet Brothers Ultimeter 100.)
