Thank you for everyones pointers on the switch on front, I diligently took the front of the unit off, got my DVM out and did some conductivity tests and found the "Repeat" switch on front is working and is in the correct position. I also tested the PL tone switch and it also tests good. I fired up the repeater again, and still no love on TX'ing.
I got to looking at the schematic, and have been trying to TX the radio via the mic plug on front. Long story short, I went through each pin and grounded it hoping the radio would TX, no such love. I am starting to wonder if I burned up the transmitter. Does the TX LED on these units still light up when the TX is burned up? As much as I hate to admit this, I had the unit plugged into a bad antenna that was shorted, I ran it like this for approx 10 minutes while fooling with it, total TX time was probably less then 3 minutes. Is that enough to burn up the transmitter in these units? Regards, Richard Bessey
