The antenna is a single dipole (from an old DB264) about 80 ft. below the DB224 repeater antenna which is on 147.06. The 5.49 repeater is 25 miles away. We have no desense whatsoever and we use no cavities or anything else on the link radio. Me thinks you need a better radio... Laryn K8TVZ
