Bernie, I made 2 out of 3/4" polycarbonate rod. Length is about 16" long. The tip is a 1/4-20 brass bolt with the head cut off and filed to a rounded tip. I tapped the the end of the rod to fit the bolt.
The grounding jumper is 4' long made 1/2 braid from Surplus Center with a big muller clamp. I folded the braid in half width-wise and covered with heat shrink tubing. The braid is silver soldered to the bolt. > Does any one know where I can obtain a fiberglass "chicken stick"? > I had one at Collins Radio that was about a foot long, 1/4 inch in > diameter and would like to obtain the same.
