It probably needs to be modified (installing 2 jumpers in the control head). Download the FT-5200 manual via a Google search for "FT-5200" & "manual", then see p. 37. You might check pin 5 of the mic connector for a COS signal in case someone already performed the mod. on the radio. Bob NO6B
