In the P25 spec, they allow for non-standard extensions. Each manufacturer uses these differently. The answer is to disable any extended feature sets and just use the P25 standard data alone.
Then you have some companies (I won't mention their 3-letter initials) who don't even use the standard P25 data correctly - such as using a SYSTEM BUSY queue to indicate that an I-Call is taking place. Hence, equipment that isn't theirs can never use the I-Call feature, as the other equipment sees that the system is busy. Their reply? That's how THEY read what the spec says! That same company's system uses only one frequency per frequency table (not ironically, ala LTR). While this is compliant with P25 specs, it limits the system to only 16 channels. Joe M.
