Radio is a Tait Handheld that is all SMD ( Very Small SMD ) and everthing is controlled by this main Micro. Parts are not supplied for the main board and the only viable option if the board is faulty is to return it for an exchange one. Letting the smoke out of this Micro could have been an expensive learning experience. :) Thanks again for everyone's help.
