I'm sure it can be made to go.

It would help if you told us what the duplexer is - i.e. a full quarter-wave 
style, or is it the shortened helical resonator type? I didn't come up with 
that model on their website.

If it's a full quarter-wave style, the plunger may have run up inside the fixed 
portion of the center rod.
