Mike, My personal preference is Andrew FSJ1-50 1/4" superflex. To save on connectors you can use silver/teflon PL-259 or the new style silver "N" connectors that assemble like a PL-259 with a silver UG-176 reducer on this cable. Just drill a 1/8" hole through the reducer to solder to the copper jacket. Assemble the rest of the connector as normal.
I have had very good results on both VHF and UHF. Often times I cna pick up a few DB extra isolation which really helps with desense on VHF where we only have 600 KHz of spacing and need all the help we can get.
