Dan, You should have no problem converting your unit to a repeater. The repeater builder web site has a whole section devoted to the MSR 2000. In my area we have converted many of these into repeaters and they work fine. If you want to upgrade your amp, let me know. I have a spare continuous duty amp I can part with.
