Hands on experience with -- JAVA, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, XML Experience with CLIENT framework and Struts experience a plus Knowledge and experience working with Oracle Relational Databases Extensive knowledge in SQL programming / Stored Procedures (Oracle PL/SQL) V-9I or greater. Must have extensive technical skills in UNIX and shell scripting environment Strong analytic, problem solving and collaborative skills Strong data modeling skills (Normalized and Multidimensional for Data Marts, including Star Schema, Snow-Flake Modeling, Fact and Dimensional Modeling Participates in on-call, overnight off-hour production problem resolution activities when required. Working knowledge of General Ledger and Sub Ledger terms, and processes a plus Working knowledge of life insurance business terms, and processes a plus Good written and verbal communication skills a must Bachelors Degree or equivalent job experience Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Codes, tests, debugs, maintains and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation.
