Basic technologies: Microsoft Windows (Server and Desktop versions)
Microsoft Office suite Exchange VMware

The Systems Technologist is responsible for maintaining and implementing
server and desktop related environments, security and establishes policies
& procedures for IT management against agreed SLAs to ensure service
availability and reliability.

The nature of the position demands a rational person who has generalist IT
skills, and is able to direct the right balance between the use of standard
and non-standard service components and is capable of communicating with
all internal and external parties.

*Principal Responsibilities*



. Act as a local customer contact for services that are outside the scope
of the regular Run & Maintain Support.
. Active role as subject matter expert in server and desktop areas
. Provide IT support in the early stages of projects/complex requests with
regards to implementation of server and desktop technologies.
. Liaise and provide consultancy to End users, Project Leads, Application
Developers, Application Focal Points and Operations teams. Develop
solutions that are in line with the standard services or require new
service developments.
. Act as a Project Support for internal projects/activities.

*Knowledge, Skills and Expertise*


. Deep knowledge of principles, practices and theories in Server and
Desktop technologies.
. Participate in identification and root cause analysis of repeating
problems and escalation to the responsible party for recovery and future
prevention.
. Able to demonstrate troubleshooting skills.

*On Site Support*

Act as a local IT support on Tustin office

. Assist in identifying and resolving re-occurring incidents.
. Contact with vendors on support escalations
. Recognizes problems or situations that are new or without clear precedent.
. Evaluates alternatives and finds solutions
. Take partial responsibility for the identification of key methodological
or process issues in the team.

. Contribute to maintain a high level of Customer Satisfaction.
. Conveys goals and objectives clearly, interprets customers' requirements
and implements the expected services as agreed.
. Influence others with tact and diplomacy and convince others to gain
cooperation and eliminating conflict.

assist in achieving work related goals.
