Job description:
The QA Tester position requires a minimum of 2 years of professional
experience testing both web and desktop applications built with Microsoft
tools. Candidates must have a good understanding of the software
development lifecycle and the role QA plays in it. Working knowledge of
unit, application, integration, and user acceptance testing is essential,
as is an understanding of QA methodologies. The QA Tester is responsible
for creating and executing test plans, evaluating test coverage, cataloging
and tracking defects, functional decomposition, functional testing, and
regression tests.
Ideal candidates will also have experience with automated testing tools
(QTP, QC), test script development, load testing, stress testing, test
optimization techniques, system architecture or Microsoft software
development.
Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills,
demonstrated ability to work in a team environment, willingness to
research/learn and superior work habits.
Requirements
Minimum 2 years professional QA experience
Good understanding of the SDLC
Proven ability to work in all phases of the QA cycle
Organized with a detail-oriented personality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a team
Willingness to research and learn
Superior work habits
Preferred
Experience with HP QuickTest Professional (QTP) and/or Quality
Center (QC)
