Okay. First thing to try is to re-install Django from scratch: $ rm -rf /usr/local/lib/python2.7/dist-packages/Django-* $ easy_install Django==1.6.8
Then try to re-create the site and see if it goes any better. That'll help determine whether or not it's a corrupt Django install.
