    Tighten up field/method visibility in Executor and made some code more 
clear to read.

    I was reading Executor just now and found that some latest changes 
introduced some weird code path with too much monadic chaining and unnecessary 
fields. I cleaned it up a bit, and also tightened up the visibility of various 
fields/methods.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/rxin/spark executor

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/4850.patch

To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:
