Review comment:
I think the purpose of this is to know that fileLost=false, as this is
in the else part of the
`if (fileLost) {...} else {...}` and in the if part, there will be logInfo
output.
I think it is simpler to simply have a logDebug on entering the method
giving us the values of the key variables, including fileLost. Therefore this
is not needed.
