This change actually stops supporting a bunch of existing config
properties, right? I don't think we can do that.
As discussed in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SPARK-3859 it's
possible to deprecate the existing ones, add new ones, and support both. In
practice, the deprecated configs will stick around a long time. (cf. MapReduce
and it's "deprecated" properties from like 20 years ago).
I personally am not sure about changing the config properties just for this
as a result. However I can see changing some internal variable names to reflect
their units.
