if the file length was passed in and the openFile() builder with the length option set was used then filesystems which skipped the RPC/HEAD call wouldn't do any work here. parquet itself needs to skip the getFileStatus call with a length. This'd line up nicely for manifest formats (iceberg &c) which may track length but they don't keep a full filestatus -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
