@pan3793, I completely understand the need for a patch release (2.25.5 or 2.26.1) to avoid the risks of a minor version jump while ensuring the latest security patches remain in place. As I am a newer maintainer on the Log4j project, I want to ensure our release strategy aligns with the rest of the PMC. I will coordinate with the core maintainers to discuss the feasibility of a patch release to support Spark and other downstream projects.
