I talked to @davies offline just now -- he thinks it'd be more clear for
the diff of this patch if it doesn't need to include the "revert" of the last
patch. I don't have a super strong opinion, but given he is willing to spend
the time, I'd say he should make the call since nobody else feels super
strongly about it.
