Current usage of `splitExpressions` is to group the sequential access of
elements in an input row to many blocks (methods).
As during whole stage pipeline, we mostly process `currentVars`, instead of
input row. It is not expected to use `splitExpressions` widely across this
pipeline. That is why I say it is in limited usage.
