I think the state is a bit ambiguous -- we had a call for "QA period" but
then ended up cutting an interim release. I think we're still sort of in a QA
period. Probably best to be cautious about back-porting, but people are still
back-porting most stuff from master into 2.0. We probably should have a
real-deal code freeze soon for 2.0, but I don't think that's been called yet.
Use your judgment, still.
