I'm wondering if it might be simpler and more idiomatic to just define
distance measure directly as any subclass of Function2, like:
trait DistanceMeasure extends Function2[Vector, Vector, Double] with
Serializable
Then you could also just use "distanceObject(v1,v2)" syntax to get distance
between v1 and v2
