I'm fine with this PR, but I'm wondering if it makes more sense to set the
default to one of the values here (probably "TLS"):
https://docs.oracle.com/javase/7/docs/technotes/guides/security/StandardNames.html#SSLContext
So that the user doesn't have to specify.
