    @gatorsmile we tried that in Spark 2.0. But it turns out that this is quite 
confusing to an end-user, and that this is problematic in case of testing (due 
to small numeric differences).
    
    When a user specifies a value it is (to me at least) exact, by converting 
to a floating point literal you will loose the exact representation. You can 
alway safely (auto) cast to a double.
