Hi @baishuo, thanks for working on this. I agree with @chenghao-intel and
@srowen I think this code was already thread safe and we don't really need the
added complexity of a thread local variable as we are not allocating new
NumberFormats in the critical path. Do you think you could Close this issue
unless you disagree.
