@andrewor14 and I looked into and increasing timeout does solve SPARK-3015.
Well the real reason is still unknown. All we know is that once in a while,
when the executor tries to send a Akka "ask" to the driver, the reply never
comes back to the executor. It gets mysteriously lost, after which no matter
how long you wait, the executor is not going to get the reply. We still havent
figured out how to fix this, as it is very very hard to reproduce.
