@mallman, can you close this one and put some changes into @ajacques branch
then? no point of opening duplicated changes. Since @ajacques is at least
willing to address other comments including styles in
https://github.com/apache/spark/pull/21889, we will go with that PR in any
event. Right?
If you are willing to update this PR, please address style comments here
too. Otherwise, let me just close this and deduplicate the effort. What's the
point of leaving this PR open?
