Last time I looked at the doc, I thought there were a few more points that needed clarification or discussion. In particular, I think deviations between the read and write side structures should be thought through and justified in the doc's text. Same with differences between the batch write and streaming write cases. I don't think all of those deviations are documented yet. I want to be able to read the doc and understand *why* choices were made. I'll take another look at it next week to see where it's at.
