We had a detailed look on this again and decided to reserve the node at any cost in the first go as we don't have any other node to run the pod. Once we reserve the node, we decided to run the predicate checks while trying out preemption for the daemon set pods during tryReservedAllocate scheduling cycle. We had filed a jira for [this](https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/YUNIKORN-3330). Yes, predicate checks may fail over there but the node is reserved.
