Can you enable Kdump (system-config-kdump) and save the panic
information to get more details

Subject: [rhelv5-beta-list] Beta 2 kernel panics

Hi,

When doing heavy compiles on a 2-CPU dual core Opteron (temporarily
running an 32-bit RHEL5 beta 2 OS) I frequently get kernel panics.

This is the last trace/info I could grab from the console:

  __rcu_process_callbacks
  rcu_process_callbacks
  __do_softirq
  do_softirq
  apic_timer_interrupt

  fatal exception in interrupt

What could be causing this? Can this be a HW problem or is it a
kernel bug?
