Anyway, I enabled it now and it seems to boot the kdump kernel when I
do the key sequence (or "echo c > /proc/sysrq-trigger" is easier :-)),
I see it loading all SCSI drivers and creating the devices and then
it very soon reboots.

Nothing is saved...

My kdump.conf:

ext3 /dev/sdb1
path /crash
default reboot

On /dev/sdb1 there is an ext3 fs with a directory "crash", that
stays empty.
