I'm looking for suggestions for a hardware SCSI RAID controller similar in features to an Adaptec 2010S. One that is known to work well with Redhat Enterprise Linux 5 and 4 without requiring external drivers or custom kernels and is actively being sold.

Comments from anyone with personal experience with a similar RAID controller under both OS's who are happy with device and driver performance are welcome.

We have all but sworn of Adaptec cards in favor of LSI MegaRAID cards. We'd been using Adaptec for years in our Linux, Netware and Windows boxes but with flaky driver support for any non-Windows Network OS that was released more than a year or two after the given card, we're tired of it. LSI's driver support seems to be much more active and updated for Linux and Netware. I'm quite happy with the MegaRAID 320-2X PCI-X card that we've gotten. I'll admit that I don't have one in a RHEL box yet but the driver is actively developed by LSI and the Linux community.
