Since the file is the config file from the package (same file) I
would backup the config file and install with the force option (--
force) for this package only. I would then recommend that you file
a bug report with the package maintainer. This is an issue with the
way the RPM was built.
I renamed the file and tried to uninstall the old package first, but
this is now since 1 hour in cleanup mode, nothing happens.
I don't want to cancel the software remove but I think it hangs.
What can I do to cleanly remove the old version, install the new one
and try the yum update with all the other packages again?
