just because that is what the arabs think we should cave to that> how about the constant occupation being a result of constant terrorists attacke coming from that location? seriously what do you think the u.s. would do and did do to the indians, to any one who stood against the use of this land? israel has been lenent compared to others. now the apartments aren't big enough, they fired on the constructionc crews. the ruling gangs inside the camps are fighting for the best spots. i say give it to them, let them have it and in a year or two when these people are still living in the same dumps with the same gangs terrorizing them , and no were closer to living like sane people at least they can't turn to israel and blame her. that is all i want to see them do it and stop whining about it. they can't and i will lay money to any one here about their progess once they get some more of the land that wasn't for them to begin with. it will never be enough. as they say in AA one is to many and a thousand is never enough. the excuses will abound and people all over the world will scramble to see who they can blame except the leaders of these people and their refusal to grow up and be civilized. I would also justify it on the grounds that in the eyes of many people, Iraq's occupation is a mirror-image in many aspects, of the occupation and re-occupation of the West Bank and the strangulation of Gaza - it certainly is in the eyes of the Arab world - and Israel should be taking that opinion rather more seriously than it does at present. ("Military Occupation" tends to follow the "form follows function" biology/engineering concept - if it fulfills a certain function - cursory vs ambush predation, shock absorption, heat radiation - it can only take certain forms. Ditto military occupation - and if some of the psychological ground rules are the same - ie, contempt for such-and-such an ethnicity/religion, whathaveyou, - the resutls will be the same) I would also justify my commitment to seeing it through, on the grounds that when I called myself a Zionist of sorts, I was lied to on a number of issues - you know, the ones I keep referring to. And those lies are still current. I should not need to justify my intention of getting those lies put to rest. (Just for the record, I also loathe the anti-semitic sh*t that is now starting to rear its ugly head - Jews like Arabs like Americans like Asians like Europeans like Africans etc, are people, and are just as capable of doing exactly the same as anybody else - therefore they are just as culpable as anyone else, and just as forgiveable as anybody else. Anything less dehumanises everybody. That's my settled opinion, and I'm not changing it for anyone or anything.) Another reason would be that I as yet have not made contact with any Iraqi the way I have made contact with various Israelis and Palestinians, so I have no "news-feeds" to my emailbox - and I suppose I felt the news from my friends is worth passing on to Rhetoric at least. I suppose I could pass on the Iraqi news I get from my New Zealand Muslim contacts - would that be acceptable?
