I would personnally agree with Brian and reformulate :



And yes, Rietveld invented an intensity extraction algorithm (his “observed” 
intensities are used in RB and RF calculations) later used by Le Bail; Pawley's 
code predated Le Bail, and the latter is more related to Rietveld than to 
classical ideas of peak extraction.
