So you'd vote against this addition?
Indeed, warnings tend to get neglected.
On the other hand, since it's rather easy to do this now already
(with the code I pasted before), this doesn't do anything new,
just makes it easier to do so. So I guess it might just as well
be added.
What do others think?
I prefer a consistent API. Adding these methods will add
convenience but also pose the risk of the application failing in
certain cases.
I think Martin Fowler addresses such decisions in his latest blog
entry HumaneInterface.
