so I took the time to document exactly what I was seeing. Hopefully this makes sense.
1. go to artists (I only have 450, instead of 1500) 2. browse to v and click on "various artists" 3. all of my albums show up (not just the compilations) 4. I click on any album, the contents are blank 5. Click on "various artists" in the path above (Home/artists/various artists/...) 6. I get 12 albums that are compilations composed of MP3 files, all my .flac albums are gone (which is about 85). 7. I can find these albums if I browse by album, but not artist. None of the artists that are MP3 files show up in the artist category, either. I installed the build from 9/30/2006, and the behavior was the same.
