You can not verify a raid like that. On any decent controller, the
drives are marked as belonging to the array, and they can not be used
as a single drive in another pc.

Only way is to disable one drive, and see if you can still access the
data.

Indeed a very important step. RTFM! My controller gives an audible
warning.

The above is also valid for backups. Do verify that the backup is
usable, and that it can be restored.
