I made the same mistake and was impatient as well. After learning and reading I reripped with EAC.
EAC takes a bit of time to learn and very subtle to get "accurate-rip" feature working which is a very nice piece of mind feature. Even if only half your library ripped with a positive "Accurate-Rip" results at least you know your setup is capable of accurately ripping. EAC can rip as fast as any ripper (if you choose to).
