I think there are scripts (perl and batch files) that will run through a complete library re-compressing everything as well as maintaining the file modified/created dates and possibly adding album art to the meta data as well. I intend doing this at some point on my collection. As mrfantasy said, large drives are pretty cheap, but i'd rather not replace both my online and backup offline copy drives just yet. 5% Might be optimistic in a lick for like test, but a lot of mine was compressed with -5 as opposed to -8 so i do expect to see a good few gig saving. -- funkstar ------------------------------------------------------------------------ funkstar's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2335 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32744 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list ripping@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
