Hi, I've got the wierdest problem. I've got loads of MP3 fileas that I downloaded well over two years ago. At the time I tagged them all correctly. I don't deal with MP3 files now, preferring lossless. However there is some rare or unreleased materia I cannot get in lossless so i am gouing to add some of these file to my library.
However, noe of the program I have tried seem capable of reading or adding ID3 vs1 or 2 tags to the files. All the programs appear to be adding the tags to the files but them can't read them afterwards. I've tried deleting all the tags (loads of times), writing them in manually, generating them from the files names etc, all with no joy. Can anyone give me any pointers? Any help at all appreciated. Programs I've tried include: MP3Tag (my fave program) Foobar 0.83 (can only do ID3 vs1 tags I think) Winamp (with EZ-Playlist) Media Monkey Windows Media Player BTW. The files play perfectly well.
