My CDs are still in their jevel cases, stored in cardboard boxes in my storage locker. I've downloaded from Magnatune, The Philadelphia Orchestra, Linn Records and iTunes. My music collection is mirroed on 2 500 GB hard drives, and the downloaded tracks are additionally backed up on 2 mirrored 250 GB drives. Hopefully this is enough backup copies that my collection will be safe. Right now, although the mirrored drives are kept in different physical locations (as are the CDs), I physically carry the drives periodically to a common location to mirror them. I've been thinking about doing that via the Internet at some point.
