So, I recently took my hodgepodge MP3 collection and normalized all the tags by using the MusicBrainz database. It worked really well, and now everything shows up all nice and neat in the Slimserver web pages (even Japanese chars!).
Anyway, most of the files got their year/release dates updated to YYYY-MM-DD format (via the ID3 v2.4 TDRC tag) and now Slimserver lists them in the "Unknown" category when I browse by years... It appears that the slimserver sql database is hardcoded to treat year as an integer. So, now that the backstory is out of the way, here are a few questions 1. Anybody else have this problem? 2. Anyone know of a quick fix to get years back (aside from rewriting the tags)? 3. Anybody else think this is a bug in slimserver?
