All IMHO of course, but the scheme I am using is - On disk library is structured around composer, i.e.
\B \B\Bach J S Then each Directory is a ripped CD with each track a FLAC file, SlimServer is configured to ignore .cue. \B\Bach J S\Goldberg Variations BWV988 (Glenn Gould) \B\Bach J S\Goldberg Variations BWV988 (Trevor Pinnock) For the tags, I use COMPOSER [Bach, J S], ARTIST [Glenn Gould], ALBUM [Bach ยท Goldberg Variations BWV988 (Glenn Gould)] and TITLE [I. Aria]. CustomBrowse plugin to allow browsing by COMPOSER/ALBUM and MusicInfoScr to see all the info on my TP's displays. Genre is 'Classical|Keyboard' using the '|' separator. This allows the tracks to be down-converted for use in the ipod and library scanned by OrangeCD Catologue and still make sense. In an ideal world another tag WORK would be agreed and widely supported to break the link between the CD and the digital library. -- amcluesent ------------------------------------------------------------------------ amcluesent's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10286 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=37268
