If in doubt, don't forget to give a try to the "30 discs trick".
With a large classical library it's so nice being able to browse by composer, director, genre... Tonight I want to listen to bethoveen 9th symphony... but which one... herreweghe, pinock... oh, this one! Let's put some random "chamber music" in background, or all classical music without orchestra...etc. If you'll just use your SB as a cd player with no disc to change maybe your way is a good choice.
