Hi

I placed this message a few days ago in the beginners forum but did not
receive a reponse. Hopefully someone on this forum can provide
assistance.

I ripped a cd using EAC for the second time but notice that the ripped
files do not have the .flac file extension. The first time I ripped
they did. There were a couple of changes I made after the first trial
rip.
I changed the directory options (in EAC options) to "ask every time
(default showing last used directory)" . The last time I ripped, the
directory was C:\rips. The files had .flac as extensions. This time I
changed the default directory to one on my external drive called
F:\lossless. The CD seemed to rip ok, but the file extensions now show
.wav as the file extension. In the EAC compression options I've checked
"use external program for compression, with .flac as the file extension
and C:\program files\flac\flac.exe as Program including path used for
compression. I guess I must be missing something here, as somehow flac
is no longer the default extension.
