I am backing up my dvd-a collection to FLAC as I type this using mplayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu) under FreeBSD. Unfortunately, they are being down sampled to 16bit/48khz but I think my SB3 will down sample from 96khz anyway. I have noticed that the track layout varies so I use "lsdvd" first then run something like... Code: -------------------- mplayer -ao pcm -vo null -dvd-device /dev/acd1 -vc dummy dvd://1 mplayer -ao pcm -vo null -dvd-device /dev/acd1 -vc dummy dvd://2 <all tracks like above...> flac -f -8 *.wav;rm *.wav -------------------- Then comes the manual tagging since musicbrainz is not matching the signatures :( -- cgull ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cgull's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13453 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38052 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
